Blue River Rafting Companies

The Blue River, a little offshoot that snakes into Summit County, is famous for its fishing as well as the Whitewater Rafting thrill she offers. While the Dillon Dam and Green Mountain Reservoir has slowed some of the river's flow, there are still Class I - Class III rapids to be found between Silverthorne and the Reservoir each spring. For the beginners, the stretch of water from Silverthorne to Columbine Landing, approximately an 8 mile run, is an easy Class I and II. Beyond the Landing the waters turn to a more challenging Class II to III for those more experienced.
